...between the two candidates on policy. One is a Democrat, the other is a younger version of Issa and Arnold.

Jerry Brown is doing a great job for California at a difficult time. Most of his opponent's complaints were about problems our state suffers due to many years of Republican governorship.

...Californians are grateful that he stepped up to do the job when we were in such a mess. Our state needed his experience and knowledge of how to get things done. Arnold didn't know California politics.

it's been as tough for GJB because both PBO & he inherited one helluva mess.

Not surprising when you think that Ahno and Dubya used to be running/ruining things

Good job, Mr. President, Governor Brown!!

I always watch these things through the pretend eyes of a low information voter and I felt Cash landed some points and was a good debater. Brown seemed a little inarticulate and flustered at times.

He went into it 12 points ahead and I wonder if he kept that. Does anyone here know the poll results or have a similar reaction to the debates?

... would frustrate anyone. If I were in Jerry Browns shoes, I would have gotten mad! That loses a debate. One thing our governor has in common with President Obama is keeping cool in the face of outright lies.

Is a typical Republican... even to over shouting his opponent, just like on Fox News and lying his ass off. He even said he admires Scott Walker.. what a loser...I know where my vote is going.

California has had enough 'slick' to coat a beach. I think 'real' has been working out just fine.

NK hasn't a chance to win & that's a good thing. But too bad he didn't go after Brown on decriminalizing marijuana & also emptying the non violent prisoners of the failed war on drugs from our prisons. Save taxpayers $50,00/year per prisoner & put that money towards real benefits for California.

Brown is immensely popular. That he thinks his popularity is dependent on support from the prison guards union, people who believe
imprisoning drug offenders is even remotely beneficial or police on the federal drug money & asset seizure gravy train ...that's really the one area the majority of Californians disagree with Brown.

I'm surprised the 2 journalists and NK didn't question Brown about his obstinate determination to build more prisons, transfer Ca prisoners to other states & private prisons...all of which are despicable solutions to our inhumane prison overcrowding and obscene costs to taxpayers. Brown supports construction of new prisons
instead of just supporting change in these racist, hyperbolic, ultimately violent punishments against non violent offenders.

Brown seems deaf to the wishes of the majority of Ca voters on changing these drug laws. It'd be a good thing if NK hit him from the left on this. Nk 'd pick up some younger voters maybe. But more important "the sunlight" might cause Brown to see the wasteful cruelty of his own drug prison policies.
