but that statistic is ridiculous. Anyone on drugs didn't show up for the test. And those who did...well....low IQ? Hope and prayer?
So do you really believe that only 1 in 400 welfare recipients uses drugs? I think the number is higher than that, but not enough to justify these ridiculous and invasive tests.

If you are talking about the population of "those who qualify for public assistance" you are talking about a set of persons who, by definition, don't have a whole lot of disposable income. It's not as if illegal drugs are given away for free.
