If it's not Republicans, it's conservadems.
If not conservadems, it's Lieberman.
If it's not Lieberman, it's all of Congress.
If it's not all of Congress, it's talk radio.
If it's not talk radio, it's the CIA, showing him a film of the Kennedy assassination, then asking, "Any questions?"
Guess Wall Street got to him very quickly too.

I appreciate and applaud Obama's social achievements, but he has always done Wall Street's bidding just like his predecessors.

(5,106 posts)Is GWB silent on politics today because of a real sense of his failures, or simply because he has as little interest in national and world politics as he did when POTUS? Cheney, however, leaves little doubt as to whose administration it really was during the "Bush II years." Most of his opposition in 2000 realized how adeptly he made himself the VP candidate, and his little respect for Dubya (Republican PTB expected he could take young George in charge; an ideal situation, since the Dick would never fly as a viable candidate to the great, unwashed public). The truly frightening thing about Cheney is his absolute conviction that his disastrous policies are always the right way to go, and how wrong everyone else is. He may have started out, and continues, as entirely self serving for the MIC and Halliburton, but I think it's become more: He's a major deposed, but tragically right historical figure. Given forums he no longer has a right to, he could highly influence a lot of his right wing political followers, who in turn will rile up their low information voters. This is all in his own mind, maybe, but still not something to be indulged.

(45,251 posts)Extraordinary rendition or irregular rendition is the apprehension and extrajudicial transfer of a person from one country to another.[1] During the United States war on terror, President Clinton initiated the program and, under the administration of President George W. Bush, the term became associated with US practices of abducting and transferring terrorism suspects to countries known to employ torture for the purpose of interrogation. The process has continued and expanded under the Barack Obama

(429 posts)Everybody needs to see this. Also every democratic politician needs to scream this from the rafters whenever they get in front of a camera.
