Jaguar & Dog Absolutely Love Each Other

Bullet and Jag are best friends at this lovely animal sanctuary. When Jag grew up to be a big cat, the handlers separated him from Bullet for safety reasons. After Jag cried all night and Bullet stood motionless by the gate for a full day, they knew separating best friends would never work. Watch the genuine and loving relationship between two very different animals.

Cute Dog and Jaguar Are Best Friends

Playing rough and tumble with a jaguar would leave most thinking this dog's chance of survival is slim. But the unlikely dog and big cat pairing are best of friends - playing, sleeping and even eating together 24 hours a day. Bullet the Jack Russell dog became pals with the jaguar, fondly known as 'Jag', after he was moved to the Akwaaba Lodge in South Africa.

I'm not sure why these stories are so powerful emotionally, but they certainly are. They tend to leave a lump in the throat. I guess animals are better able to teach us about trust and companionship than most humans, for some reason. If anyone has some ideas, I'd be happy to hear them.

In my experience, watching a heartwarming video
brings up the tears that occasionally sit on top of
my heart like a lead weight.

I think the lonelier a person has been from earliest
childhood and onward may be related to how one is
affected. It's not in our nature to be lonely or even
alone. But we live in terribly lonely times.

The yearning sits there, in the human heart. An ache.
Heartwarming videos cause us to feel our own heart,
the love and longing therein. Or sometimes sadness
and emptiness there.

There's the longing to be free; and for many there
is a load of sorrow and doubt sitting heavily upon
their hearts, suffocating the hope. Then you see a
video like this and it gets into your heart, and hope
gets stirred up again. Tears come up, maybe, and
and so does gratitude, disbelief, relief, sorrow,
gladness. Often all at once. Sometimes just a tiny
bit, and sometimes the dam breaks.

for jaguar climbing.

The only way would be to transcribe from the video -- not sure the lyrics were anything more than partially improvised and done for that show. Here are the Bobby Darin lyrics.

My sister's cat can enjoy a petting and then bite hard enough to draw blood. The car might not intend on killing but do damage anyway. Still, the dig will be happier right up until the end. Hope the cat keeps cool.
