(14,733 posts)There's A) the group that feels we need them so that Biblical Prophecy can be fulfilled, and B) the group that feels it's 'handy' to have an 'ally' in that part of the world. If our politicians didn't feel we 'needed' them for anything, we'd ignore them as much as we ignore most of Africa, India, and Asia.

Why the Obama administration puts up with this is beyond belief. But I think the tide is beginning to turn. That Levine is even able to utter the word "Zionist" in this interview shows that people are no longer going to be cowed by being labeled anti-Semitic every time they criticize Israel.
