(6,568 posts)I'm as carnivorous as it gets, but even I enjoy a nice salad for dinner sometimes. We're omnivores. Kids don't need to eat meat for every meal. Hell, my daughter's favorite lunch is a PB&J sandwich.
FOX really needs to get it's priorities straight. They really pick the most petty of things to get outraged about.

(5,206 posts)Before school cafeterias offered more choice (at least on the secondary level), fish was always served on Fridays, even if the majority of students weren't Catholic. There was never an eyebrow raised. It was considered more of a courtesy, even back in my day when many parents discouraged inter-faith dating. Today, for Fox to make an issue of "vegetarian indoctrination," is truly "rolling on the floor" laughable.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
