If you listen at the end...lordie he says to the effect that the President needs to tell the Arab nations that if we come in and clean up their mess then we need a little quid pro quo...oil deals. I think it isn't a mess so much of the ME's making as ours and it's time to let others handle this since our handling of it has a poor track record.
It also bothers me hearing that this is war and the mentioning of troops on the ground sounds like a bunch of propaganda to me. It's an endeavor to obtain the American people's blessing.
Also, I can't see the threat to us personally. Heaven knows we have borders...if he wants the military involved put them to the task of protecting the borders and points of entry. For home grown terrorists...has everyone forgotten the NSA, etc. I can't imagine tptb don't know who these terrorists are and where they are. As far as our interests 'over there'...??? close the embassies, if that's what he's thinking. Get the hell out of the ME! Of course this rant is only my most humble opinion.
