you're running behind the news cycle. It appears now that the 'threat to reveal nude photos' came from a viral marketing agency supposedly hired by celebrity publicists as a means of gathering attention for a crusade to shut down the 4chan site, and not actually from a hacker.

… and I'M a little curious as to how so many of the post of this person who's posting privileges have been removed contain the date like this -

Information on this Transparency page is currently displayed to logged-in members because the member's posting privileges were revoked on Dec 31, 1969.

Too big a mystery for my little head to wrap around. I have to assume "name removed" was a dirty little creep.
