Unbelievable. Blacks cannot put their hand in their pockets on a cold snowy day.
as an aside; I once got stopped by the cops in my own neighborhood for carrying a basketball. Apparently I was not "dribbling' the basketball as I walked down the street; but just holding it. so I was suspicious. And I happen to be white.

(10,597 posts)... of a future crime, I suppose. Cops have to check these kinds of calls out, I guess, but if I checked it out and turned out there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dude, I would pay a little visit to the complainers home and give them a ticket, with a nicer little fine to pay.
If this kind of shite doesn't stop, everyone who walks down the street is going to be suspect!

(7,813 posts)If you listen carefully, the cop says that he is just south of Michigan. The pedestrian mentions that they are in Pontiac. That's enough to go on to check Google Maps.
Fortunately, Michigan Avenue in Pontiac is not very long. There seems to be only one larger road intersecting Michigan Ave, so I went south on it. About a block along, I found the houses that you can see in the background. The name of the road they are on? Martin Luther King Blvd.
I think the cop decided to check out a young black man walking along the street in broad daylight just because he could.

(2,609 posts)the first time it happened to me (about 3 miles from Ferguson, in Edumdson, MO (speed trap city) the story was "someone in the area has been stealing car batteries" so my cousin and I were stopped and frisked even though we were teens on foot, wearing 70's style gym shorts that we couldn't have hit a dollar in change in. In fact I don't think the shorts even had pockets and I think we were carrying our money and a door key in our socks.
I've had literally dozens of similar encounters.

(and the fruitfly's brain is probably larger than that cop's)

No small irony the guy was walking on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard... no small irony at all.

(18,791 posts)Is it blow back and cops are doing this shit because they can? Is the leadership really stupid enough to not be teaching the law? Multi million dollar lawsuits against departments don't worry them?
I still blame the Bush War Criminal Regime, for getting all this police militia bullshit started.
