Thom Hartmann: CISPA...The Patriot Act for the Internet?

Matt Wood, Free Press.net joins Thom hartmann. Last week - the Republican-controlled House of Representatives passed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act - better known as CISPA. So is CISPA what's needed to make the Internet safer - or is it the PATRIOT Act of the Internet, destroying our privacy? So where does the fight over CISPA stand today? And what do "we the people" need to know to preserve a free and open internet?

There are many more important concerns, and may "safety" issues could be better fixed by restraining some inappropriate corporate behavior.

The military should just get the fuck off the Internet and stop EXPOSING themselves to attacks. I can hardly think of a stupider idea than trying to make the internet "safe" for the military (yes I can - having the military use commercial software like Windows). It's about as sensible as trying to make all private conversation "safe" for the military.

Wants to through people in the gulag for exposing the secret illegal activities of white color criminals, and their crony sycophant politicians.

But we the peons of society are supposed to believe that we are all going to be much safer once these criminals throw away the Constitution, and without any accountability for their actions, spy into our personal affairs and discussions.
