Related: About this forumTYT: Bill O’Reilly Temper Tantrum Over Negative Killing Jesus Reviews
"Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) and John Iadaola (https://twitter.com/jiadarola) host of The Young Turks discuss what Bill OReilly blames for bad reviews of the National Geographic docudrama Killing Jesus based on his eponymous novel.
Wannabe Forest Gump and Fox News host Bill OReilly had a fairly bad reaction to some negative reviews of the National Geographic documentary Killing Jesus based on his novel of the same name. Taking his ball and going home OReilly waited until he was on his show The OReilly Factor to fire back at his critics, claiming that the negative press was due to anti-Christian and anti-religious sentiment within the general movie critic population. He went on to say that Christian tradition was under assault, stopping short of saying there was a war against it as he had to save that line for his annual War on Christmas segments. Most of the negative reviews revolved around the documentary just being a terrible movie with Christianity being only mentioned as the source material.

(2,741 posts)so much that I would never listen to anything that came spilling out of his vile mouth. Yes, there is very little known about the historic Jesus, but Small Willie has to twist his story to fit his hatred of all things Christian. I am sure this grifter has never read the ancient writings that were used for religious purposes both before Jesus's life and after his death. If so, he would know that most writers were working 50 or so years after that death. He would also know that academics do not know who wrote the four gospels (there are several other gospels, but Offal would not know that)...the names were chosen when the writings were selected to be put into what became known as the bible.
I could go on, but we know that speaking to someone like O'Really? is a waste of words. One thing I would say to him if I could...You have lied your way into an income of millions of dollars. You no longer need to work. Shut the Fuck Up, Go home, And Play with your Willy.

(15,173 posts)Why is it that these people who purport to be "Christians" (i.e. followers of Jesus) have absolutely no clue what he was really about.

(482 posts)nor any other reexamination of the crucifixion. I personally think that people who want to see Jesus tortured and crucified again and again are sick.
When Gibson's, The Passion came out all the contemporary Christians were goo-goo eyed about it and said how moving and wonderful it was. It practically got to the point that if you didn't go to see it you weren't a Christian and for that one reason I made up my mind to never view it.
Now O'Reilly comes out as some authority on this awful event. No thanks.
Stories about Jesus are like Jaws 3D but worse. The shark has already been killed twice but they keep trying to find new ways to show the same death.

(18,998 posts)I don't call myself a Christian but I agree with you...it is sick that the only part of the life of Jesus they love is his death...that is telling.
And sometimes the left plays right into their hands by calling it a myth...that is the wrong approach IMO.
Instead of that they should not dispute he was a man that lived 2000 years ago and instead force the right wingers to look at the rest of the story, which is damning of their ideas and precepts.
But as long as the left continues with this the war can continue and they can win.
