TYT: Parents Should 'Punch' Gay-Acting Children, Says Pastor

Via Good As You/The Huffington Post: "Sean Harris, senior pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville, spoke at length in support of North Carolina's proposed Amendment 1, which would define marriage in the state constitution as between one man and one woman and would outlaw civil unions and domestic partnerships, during an hour-long sermon on Sunday. In this clip, provided by Jeremy Hooper of the blog Good as You, a man identified as Harris is heard urging his congregation to attack their children if they appear to be exhibiting behavior outside of gender norms...".* Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur break it down on The Young Turks.

On the one hand, this is extremely disturbing, but on the other, they're just saying what they actually believe, or want others to believe, or do. Freedom of speech, baby! Let 'em scream, let 'em rant, let 'em hate, and then claim they're "persecuted" and put upon and oh, so gentle and loving.

There is some percentage of people who have enough hatred and/or guilt in their hearts and minds who RAHH RAHH this kind of BS and want an authoritative daddy figure to tell them how to live, yet somehow they always seem to go "downlow" or really, really obsess about what they imagine gay people do, and want to kill that want/need in themselves. That's always been the case.

In spite of the last 20+ years of observing politics consuming and replacing religion, I must hold on to the hope that most of humanity simply cannot be stupid enough to embrace this type of inhumanity.

I must hold onto the hope that I am not wrong on this. I had no problem with religious folks till they started demanding that they be "in charge" of the rest of us, 'cause an invisible man told them so. Screw them.

I've read many an evaluation from the experts on behavior.

To threaten to punish this behavior is almost like a new "war"...
