Today's occupiers are clearer thinkers and planners than my ole SDS crowd of the late 60s...of course the situation is even more intense with the wealth grabbers and very distorted income distribution that has occurred since the days of Regan. So, the youth and movers of today HAVE TO be sharper and on their friggin' game. I love the occupiers as much as I did the Mobilization and Movement of the 60s, but it is different in the stakes. It's more than war and peace, as important as that was to the 60s. It's more of what Dr. King was getting to before he was taken from us, that of Social Justice. I just hope this Chicago number will remind we elders of back in the day as well as harden the resolve of today's movers and shakers. The struggle is long and the road is hard, but there is no other choice.

Yes, he understood the ramifications of economic inequality on society. And so do the Occupiers, odd how unpopular it is address this subject among a certain 'class', some even on the 'left'.
