Tesla is starting to make large home batteries to store solar energy, it fits on the wall of your garage for $3500

Watch them try to add new building codes for installation of a "battery wall". Cannot be located within 500 feet of a gas line. Must be a clear zone of 20 feet around it. Must not operate when no one present. No water lines can be closer than 500 feet to battery wall (electrocution hazard). Homeowner must not disconnect from the grid. $200 utility line maintenance fee required for homeowners who use no grid electricity for the month. All male members of household must wear lead underwear to ensure privates do not get cancer from battery radiation.

This is an awesome market they're entering... potentially very disruptive. I'd LOVE to be able to use solar panels on my house and have the electricity stored in the evenings and on gray days.
