What this Koch-funded group is missing is that when the history books are written (except in Tx) 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. OBL was killed on Obama's watch.

It takes 5 seconds to tell a lie, and a month to debunk it. And accomplished liars like Karl Rove & Friends are very good at framing their lies in a way that the low-information crowd will swallow whole. Hopefully after 2004 we've all learned what happens when you get caught flat-footed.

3. Great video and Bergen was awesome on Jon Stewart. But the Swiftboaters are not going away.

As the video points out, Obama never said HE killed OBL, he always either said it was the SEALs or "the United States," not even "we."

And Peter Bergen, who wrote THE authoritative book on the killing of OBL ("Manhunt&quot makes the important observation that it was OBAMA who requested the extra Chinook helicopters. As it turned out, having them there saved the operation after one of the Blackhawks went down. If Obama had not made that request, it would have been "Blackhawk Down" a la Somalia all over again.

But the facts haven't stopped the Swiftboat attempts, including by some here on DU. Check out this thread and my exchange with the DUer who posted it:
