Papantonio: Republicans Have Screwed Future Generations

The problem with politicians is that they are so short sighted that they don’t bother to think about what they’re doing to future generations. And we don’t have to wait another 50 years to see the damage they’ve caused – we can look right now at what is happening to Millenials to see how badly the GOP has destroyed the future.

America’s Lawyer, Mike Papantonio, discusses this with David Pakman, host of The David Pakman Show.

He set the groundwork for the destruction of the Middle Class. Hate Unions? Then you hate the Middle Class because the Unions built it.

This was the pointed question of a respected Native American elder to a white corporate CEO who had grandchildren, and was worried about their future. On the one hand, he had a fiduciary responsibility to make as much profit as he could for his shareholders, but on the other hand, he could see that this was, in many ways, just simply accelerating the raping of Mother Earth, and bankrupting and degrading the kind of life that his grandchildren would be able to enjoy.

I'm glad that each successive generation is becoming more and more progressive. One thing that will become clearer and clearer as time goes on is that being a conservative, pro-status quo Republican is an exercise in fantasy and futility that we can no longer afford. Even the "status quo" will increasingly become a status of what was, or what used to be possible, but can no longer be maintained.
