Paul Krugman compares GOP economic policy to medieval bloodletting
Doctors used to bleed patients to get rid of 'bad blood.' When the patient weakened, they bled them more, frequently until the patient died. Austerity 'doctors' are prescribing more austerity 'bloodletting;' everywhere that's been tried, it's collapsed the economy. So....the austerity docs prescribe more austerity!
