5. When Dave said the Foo Fighters cancelled their gig in South America to play for his first day back

after his heart attack, my respect for those guys went up even more.

6. I would never associate

this song (or band) with Letterman, but evidently he requested it.
Minority opinion: The music doesn't cut it, but they've got the look, etc.
Pales in comparison to having Bush Sr. and Jr. on the program, even if on video.
It's a tacit endorsement each time one of these patriots appears.
