it scares and sickens me how close I came to this fellows fate, save that my county had a localize emergency care. It is also why, until the day single payer comes, I will not even try to get off disability, because I know that the week I get off is when I will probably need the same medicines that would normally cost 500 a month, or that surgery.

Health can only be maintained with access to medical care, which is exactly what the people that used to be this man;s friends do not want. They want to have the rich to have a literal power of life or dfeath that goes beyond any damned "death panel"

To be honest - everyone can do wrong - and sometimes you need something hard hitting you - to get around to a different way of thinking - and from what I have been reading - and this interview - he sound honest about his mistake - and I think we should all forgive him - and also because he now support not just ACA - but have turned around and is now on the road re-thinking most of his view - going all in for Universal Health Care - or Single Payer as americans like to call it....

At least he sound honest - and that in itself is progress - and I suspect US need progress - and it must start at at this level - he might be able to convince others to support single payer - who in turn is maybe the ball the idea of Single payer need in the US - when you can not get it true with common sense - and even good arguments - then you might need some who have seen, literary in this case the light - and now understand that if we all is to have a better health - we have to work togheter...

And I say that - living in a country with Universal health care - and who have experienced Universal health care a few times the last couple of years - and even here - the idea of universal health care is under attack - from the same powers who hold swai in the US.....
