This segment by Rachel exposes a long string of assassinations that certainly appear to be coordinated. The Russian media is more and more tightly controlled by the state.

As the ambassador said, this has a chilling effect on dissent or even true reporting.

Fortunately, in the USA we don't have total control of the media, yet. We have only limited targeted killings (not called assassinations) so far.

It's very hard for the "democratic" USofA to cast stones at another country that is more plutocratic than our own. After watching the piece with Greg Palast and Brad Friedman (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017268498) talk about the fraud in recent elections it is hypocritical for the USofA to hold itself up as a model for anything other than rampant capitalism.
