That's the question "nobody in their right mind would ask"?
Is that what you're saying?

(11,194 posts)I'm sure we would still insist on our superiority, our human "exceptionalism," and try to eat them. Of course, they would gently stop us and put us in a carefully limited habitat . . . which, now that I think about it, might look a lot like the universe we see around us, because they wouldn't want to distress us by allowing us to perceive that we are in a zoo.

(50,983 posts)I appreciate Dr. Neil's explanation that we are comprised of the elements formed when ancient stars exploded. And that the ratio of these elements in our bodies match the ratio of the elements found in the universe.
That is indeed spiritual. Spiritual in a different sense than understood by those that pour over physical scripture. But more beautiful than any scripture composed by the hand of man.

Perhaps if the background for his speech given here would be useful.

about our origin and physical makeup is preachy? Maybe you know more than he. I'd be interested in listening to your "words" or "counter thought" about what he speaks of on this video. But I bet in the end he'll be much more convincing and interesting..

the depth of my disbelief in any deity. Religion is a scam set up by man to control other
men. The truth is out there....we must continue to seek it.
