I know the area. Rural to say the least. I live there. Well very close, still know the area, farmers, empty land, go figger.

Now to the point. The army has been practicing "tactical" operations forever.

I was in tactical nuclear weapons 40+ years ago. Army.

We conducted operations all the time, on our soil. U.S., homeland.
It's for protection. Not for use against us.

Think tactical, to keep them from us, to keep them from getting our stuff.
Now think tactical nuclear weapons. Mushroom cloud to protect us. To keep them from getting us.
Right? No way! Needed, to debate.

Civilian clothing! I never wore a uniform while conducting exercises. It just freaked people out.

This has been going on since well maybe forever. As long as this country has been around.
Come on, how do you practice defense?

Now why would we be freaked out by seeing a US uniform?
But I was in the service 50 years ago, and then people were not freaked out by them...in fact a man in uniform had a lot of deference paid to them by the public.

Ok OK...it is all normal, the military has been conducting "operations" right under our nose for decades now...back to your TV reality shows folks...nothing to see here.
