Political F.U.B.A.R.: The Politics of the Avengers

1. I think for the most part any politics in the Avengers movie is pretty muted

Or well-balanced so arguments couldn't be made one way or another unlike in the last Batman movie comparing it George W's administration of spying on people for the so-called greater good.

The only things I can think of would mean really have to stretch something out to make a point like distrust of government might play well for the tea-partiers yet it was the government that got them together and there was a kind of disarmament at the end when SHIELD decided to not go ahead with further research into certain kinds of weapons powered by the cube thing they were all fighting over, which would play well with liberal positions. But these are pretty ridiculous arguments. I did see some sort of gushing by Freepers over Captain America's line when he was going after Loki on his own, and he was warned that he was a god, and he replied something like, "There's only one God, ma'am, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that."
