This all reminds me of when I was in Romania, on the beach on the Black Sea coast, right after the fall of communism. I was telling this young guy, in Romanian, about the whole Jimmy Swaggart story, and his tearful, "My Lord, I have sinned against you", plea on national TV. His jaw dropped, and he stared at me for the longest time in shocked disbelief, and finally he said, "But I thought that America was an advanced nation..."

Regarding preachers, televangelists, conservative legislators and other prominent fundamentalist Christians who have been caught with their pants down privately practicing what they are publicly preaching or taking a stand against, is anyone here aware of anybody on the internet or elsewheres who is keeping a scorecard on all this? Exactly what ARE the statistics???

but here's a partial list of evangelists that includes phony faith healers. I think it's accurate. It doesn't include politicians, priests, rabbis, mullahs and other moral leaders. It doesn't include Josh Duggar either.
