(5,018 posts)and they need to get him to run, he would do for the right what Bernie does for the left....
i.e. on the left Bernie shows a very real divide or difference (for the better) between him and not just Hillary but everybody, Louis does the same in the GOP, he is far more ignorant, filled with hate and rage than most and would be standout.
or not

(34,582 posts)Gohmert is the GOP without the facade. Other than being a white male, he and Bernie share nothing in common.

(5,018 posts)some important stuff, Louis stands alone as the biggest asshole racist

I don't know how the heck he gets elected. Perhaps the folks in his district want to keep him off the streets.

(115,661 posts)That twerp has never done anything major in his life, and I can't imagine how his ego got inflated enough to think he has a snowball's chance in the hottest circle of hell of getting the nomination, let alone winning a presidential election. Against anybody.
Loser.

(15,222 posts)I had meant this to be obvious that the republicans were responsible for the recent train wreck since they wouldn't fund needed infrastructure.
I think the car/bus/train/plane(?) analogy can go a long way as long as all of those dump-shats want to climb on board.

(9,214 posts)Oops, never mind, it's OK, he'll be in the limo right behind the bus. Or maybe right in front of the bus the way the polls are going.

(15,031 posts)of an education.
The fact that he's gotten a world class education doesn't make him stupid. It just makes him a major league prick of the first order who had destroyed education and almost everything else in Louisiana and left the state virtually bankrupt.
And now he gets to sit behind the wheel of the clown car for one day. Tear his graduate degrees off of the wall and burn them.

(5,106 posts)He shows no sign of that superior chance at education. "Reactionary" is far from the term that applies to any of the public figures I know of who had that advantage.

(90 posts)Showing how conservative he is has clobbered any growth in La. . His policies have been disastrous for the people there as he has used them hoping to make a run at the Whitehouse. He was the "smart" one Repubs pointed to in 2009, after the SOTU rebuttal his stock plummeted. He has as much chance as I do.

(5,106 posts)Who are the financial backers crazy enough to throw away their money on these losers? Pulling in those backers and keeping their contributions can be the only reason to become candidates. That and major ego trips and publicity to translate into future book and speaking money. The insanity of the current right wing field of hopefuls must be an historical precedent----or one more slap in the face of an interracial Potus (ANYONE is just as deserving)!

(11,175 posts)I guess EarlG got lazy and decided to list only the people who've formally announced.
Assuming that Walker, Christie, and Kasich jump in, the picture will get even more crowded. Former Governors Bob Ehrlich and Jim Gilmore, along with current Congressmember Peter King, have made noises about running, too.
