(2,191 posts)And graduated in 1970. And in the summer before my senior year, even some of my classmates from ASIJ (The American School in Japan) made it over to Woodstock! Terminally groovy! I'm proud to be a hippie at heart, and a member of the Woodstock generation!

(5,164 posts)of 1964 and 1965. Being from western PA, I thought it the most fascinating area I'd ever been at that (college kid) era of my life. Days off one year, when someone had a car, we'd cruise this dirt/gravel back road past a house (you can't miss it, it's PINK) where we hoped to see Bob Dylan because his backup band was living there. All we ever spotted were various band members. Of course the house was "Big Pink" and those various band members were THE BAND of shortly later fame. The Woodstock music festival, as everyone knows by now, didn't actually take place AT Woodstock, the summer home choice of many celebrities at that time, and home to a great summer theater.
