Do these asshats even think about what they are saying? That idea "makes a lot of sense"? I can just see watching a 3D movies and when something leaps out at the audience, some butthole pulling out his gun because he felt threatened by the movie.
Of course, Perry had the luxury of private screenings for his movie experiences. I wonder when, or if, he's ever been in a movie theater where there is a bunch of people talking, cell phones going off, or the guy sitting next to you is drunk out of his mind.

If I have to leave my seat during a movie, I count the number of rows from the door, or I'd never find my seat again! And I read that the shooter in LA simply sat down and the women he killed were right in from of him. They didn't have a chance. Wouldn't have mattered of they each had five guns.

People. Do these Republicans really have brains to think with? All they suggest is to have more guns to stop mass killings, this is insane. Its like pouring gasoline on a fire to put it out. When will the American people wake up to the this failed party. They are doing everything to win the White House. If they do, it will be destruction of America and its people. We just need to view what the Republicans are doing in the states to see they have totally destroyed many of the states, The budgets, educations, voting rights. healthcare and many others.
They are only the voice for a few multi billionaires who don't care about America, the people, the land, water and air. Most make their millions on the pollutions they cause.

PLEASE VOTERS WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

1. If someone brings and assualt rifle and it blocks my view of the movie...

2. Someone starts to get turned on by their weapon and accidentally discharges...

3. Those seats are uncomfortable already. Can't keep my gun on my side or on my back....

4. Holding seats for someone when they go to the bathroom could get pretty risky...

5. What happens if the movie has a shooting scene?

There are more questions than answers and I don't think guns can solve the issue.

but honestly, I really am starting to think that for my safety this is not a good idea. I'm really truly fearful that one drunk in a bar is going to start shooing a gun and next thing you know the other drunks are going to start shooting their guns. And yes I know this is Austin and it's suppose to be a progressive town but there are always a few village idiots in there that have to have their guns.

42. Hard to Determine Who Started the Shooting
Mon Jul 27, 2015, 07:16 PM
Jul 2015

It seems like it would be hard to determine who started the shooting. If a person stands up and starts shooting in a movie theater and then other people start shooting it seems the original shooter can try to claim he was just shooting at the original shooter. It seems like it could be hard to prove the shooter is lying.

In addition, since many gun owners are not accurate shooters there could be a situation in which the person who tried to stop the shooter does more harm than the shooter. We have all likely seen video of police officers shooting off dozens of rounds and missing their target, or only hitting their target once. Why wouldn't the same situation, or a worse situation happen with civilians? If a person kills multiple people while trying to stop a shooting how will he police handle that situation? Do they arrest the person who tried to stop the shooting and charge the person with murder, or manslaughter? If they do not how do the families of those killed get justice?

Mon Jul 27, 2015, 10:41 PM
Jul 2015

A bunch of would be vigilante moviegoers are packing. A maniac, God forbid, stands up and starts shooting innocent people. I stand up with my gun ready to take action. I look around and notice numerous others standing up holding guns. Now I'm thinking... "are these other guys heroes like me, or accomplices?", and they're all thinking the same thing about me and all the others, and we're in a dark theater full of panicked people. People are firing and all we can see are muzzle flashes. Who do we shoot? How good is our aim?

Is all this really making the situation better?

Hell, all a terrorist would have to do is set off a firecracker and we could all end up shooting each other for him.
