Ted Cruz recently joined conservative radio host and noted slavery enthusiast Jan Mickelson to talk about birthright citizenship. But first they had to sing the praises of Donald Trump, which seems to be Cruz’s strategy so far. Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies), John Iadarola (Think Tank), and Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show Podcast), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down on tonight’s TYT Power Panel. "Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on Wednesday that he "absolutely" supports ending automatic citizenship for children born on American soil, as guaranteed by the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

"We should end granting automatic birthright citizenship to the children of those who are here illegally," Cruz said in an interview on Michael Medved's radio show. "That has been my position from the very first day of my running for the Senate."

But the Texas conservative actually felt differently about the matter while running for the Senate. In a 2011 interview with "The Duke Machado Show," Cruz called efforts to change birthright citizenship misguided because they stood on shoddy legal footing.”*

Cruz is a pathological liar, yet no one dares call him on it for fear of being labeled as biased. This guy should have no credibility whatsoever to mount a Presidential campaign much less be considered a viable candidate for his party's nomination.
