Anyone one else notice that after * got into power, all comedy, sci fi, and anything that made you THINK kind of went away?

And that last episode of Family Guy was spot on, regarding the Tea Party.

was excellent for sliding in political commentary about the Iraq Wa---I mean Occupation.

It was under the radar for most folks because it was disguised as a sci-fi series, lol

At the end of Season 2, the humans have found a planet & thought they could hide from the cylons on it, but were found anyway.

Instead of killing the rest of humanity off, a few cylons have a change of heart & decide to try to change their ways & 'teach' the humans (who's religion is a pantheon of greek gods) all about 'love' & their 'one true god', by way of torture, executions, 'police' actions (recruiting some the humans to do their dirty work for them)

The humans have very limited ways of fighting back, & must resort to sabotage, suicide bombers, etc. to defend themselves...

Sound familiar?

Budget surplus, dwindling deficit, no 9/11, no Afghanistan, no Iraq, no indefinite detentions, no Patriot Act, no unwarranted wiretapping, no Citizen's United decision...

And then the Supreme Court declared that "every vote counts, but we don't have to count every vote...", and it's all been downhill since...

Thanks for the memories... those were good times. Even though, back then, we were just recovering from a President having just been impeached by Republican's for lying about cheating on his wife...
