(2,191 posts)2. Herbal Medicine is the Answer to Treating Autoimmune Disease!
Immunomodulating herbs have the amphoteric (bi-directional, biologically intelligent) ability to heal and balance immune response, by reducing overblown allergic and autoimmune reactions while strengthening normal and healthy immune response. Some of the best known immunomodulating herbs are Reishi, or Ling-Zhih (Ganoderma lucidum), Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) and Nigella, or Black Seed (Nigella sativa). Herbal medicine is where the research on autoimmune disease needs to be focused, because herbs are living, biologically intelligent medicines that can heal and balance immune response, and not just suppress all immune response, as all the current pharmaceutical drugs to treat autoimmune diseases currently do.
