John sold it a long time ago. McAfee is currently owned by Intel.

And it still sucks!
It sucked soon after John sold it and they modified the code.

Yesterday word got out that they are selling your web browsing data.
So I guess that leaves Avast! (my fave, because it speaks Pirate!) or Avira (good one also) free editions.
