I love hearing Repubs whine about the liberal media. They'll spend their days listening to the radio to the likes of Limbaugh, watch Faux Snooze on the tube whenever they have the chance, then get together in their bubble with like-minded friends and bitch about the liberal media.

They obviously have no sense of irony.

GOP candidate slams rivals: ‘I’ve about had it with these people’
10/28/15 04:10 PM—Updated 10/28/15 08:36 PM

By Steve Benen
Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) was one of the final Republicans to enter the race for the GOP presidential nomination, and thus far, the candidate running on his successes and years of experience has found party voters prioritizing oddities and inexperience.

If it sounds like a dynamic that might leave a two-term governor feeling a little frustrated, you might understand Kasich delivering an unscripted rant at an event in his home state yesterday. The transcript it worth quoting at length:

“Do you know how crazy this election is? Let me tell you something, I’ve about had it with these people.

“And let me tell you why. We’ve got one candidate that says we ought to abolish Medicaid and Medicare. Have you ever heard of anything so crazy as that? Telling our people in this country who are seniors, or about to be seniors, that we`re going to abolish Medicaid and Medicare?

“We’ve got one person saying we ought to have a 10% flat tax that will drive up the deficit in this country by trillions of dollars that my daughters will spend the rest of their lives having to pay off. You know what I say to them is why don’t we have no taxes, just get rid of them all, and then a chicken in every pot on top of it.

“We’ve got one guy that says we ought to the take 10 million or 11 million people and pick them up – I don’t know if we’re going to go in their homes, their apartments? We’re going to pick them up and we’re going to take them to the border and scream at them to get out of our country? Well that’s just crazy. That is just crazy.

“We’ve got people proposing health care reform that’s going to leave, I believe, millions of people without adequate health insurance. What have has happened to our party?”

It was a pretty righteous rant, delivered without a script, delivering the kind of message that we probably won’t hear from any of the other 14 Republican candidates.

What’s more, Kasich’s rant happens to be true.

Nearly all of the leading candidates want to gut Medicaid by embracing state-based block grants, and just as many support privatizing Medicare out of existence. Jeb Bush, for example, recently said he intends to “phase out” Medicare, while Marco Rubio supported a GOP budget plan that would replace the Medicare system with a voucher program.

The rest of Kasich’s diatribe is equally sound. Many of the Ohioan’s rivals want an unsustainable flat tax, mass deportations, and a health care system that leaves millions of Americans behind.

It was a compelling reaction to bizarre circumstances, though it’s likely that tirades like these help explain why Kasich isn’t catching on with his party’s radicalized base.

The one who incorporated opinion spin in alleged "new" articles?

Yeah he's a big loser alright. Still kissing Bush ass I see.

Controversy

In July 2008, while investigators for the House Oversight Committee were looking into the death of Pat Tillman, they uncovered a 2004 email from Fournier to Karl Rove encouraging him to "keep up the fight."[5]

On August 23, 2008, following U.S. Senator and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's announcement of his selection of Senator Joe Biden as a running mate, Fournier wrote a widely circulated piece titled "Analysis: Biden pick shows lack of confidence".[6] A Washington Monthly columnist described the piece as "mirror[ing] the Republican line with minimal variation".[7] Editor & Publisher noted that Fournier's article "gained wide linkage at the Drudge Report, Hot Air and numerous other conservative sites...." and was targeted by MoveOn.org for alleged bias.[8]

In February 2013, Fournier wrote a column about breaking ties with a White House official after a pattern of "vulgarity, abusive language" and "veiled threat(s)", but did not identify the official due to his policy of granting blanket automatic anonymity to all his sources.[9] Fournier received some criticism from commentator Glenn Greenwald for behaving in a "petulant" manner and for his policy on anonymity for sources.[10]

The debates have been a disaster because of the lack of depth and substance in any of these candidates. Trivial Sound bites, personal attacks, and all those fricking lies are coming from the stage not the moderators.

The Repugs are not competing yet with a Dem. They are competing with each other in a Primary.

We got this same confusion as to what is actually a "Primary" from Hillary supporters who got bent out of shape because Sander's pointed out some inconvenient truths about her.... his opponent. It was called an "attack!". "Hillary was attacking Repugs, not fellow Dems". Well, She hasn't won the primary. She might want to do that 1st.

that after the Katrina storm, "liberals" were saying that Dubya had a "weather machine" and created the storm. The idea that somebody who was dumb enough to believe such a thing would have to be constantly reminded to breathe never entered into it. He told me he saw it on the "news". I don't think even Fox would go that far.

I told him in the other course we cover cognitive bias.

'a comic book campaign' was over the top. The questions designed to make the participants attack each other were also a disservice to the American people.

The only thing I can think of about why this shitty debate format was foisted off on these candidates is that the oligarchs - the corporate establishment - didn't want them to talk at all about their issues for fear that if their extreme positions were actually allowed to come to light to a national audience, then there would be even less hope for the GOP candidate to win the general election. See, the faux controversy the moderators introduced to make this debate a sorry joke actually serve the needs of people like the Koch brothers, Adelson and the Waltons. Not to mention the Wall Street bankers.

I imagine to neo-fascists like The Free Beacon and deadbreitbart.com, any station would come off as leftist.

Anyone who thinks CNBC is "LIB'RUL" . . . doesn't watch it.
