is that if he does win the nomination and ends up losing in an historic landslide because he knows nothing outside of brain surgery, the Freepers/Teabaggers will blame it on Carson being black - so, they'll be fired up to nominate somebody just like him, only white, in 2020, and we get a repeat of 2016.

in 9 or 10 key states,
(like Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Florida & other GOP controlled states)
we will have a President Carson to deal with.

Oregon has the right idea....all absentee ballots!

it isn't so much his utter cluelessness and stupidity which bother me as much as the fact that there are actually people who find him in the least bit credible as a candidate.

Carson Announces Detailed Plan to Google Syria
By Andy Borowitz

DES MOINES (The Borowitz Report)—In a major foreign-policy announcement on Wednesday, the Republican Presidential candidate Ben Carson unveiled a detailed plan to Google Syria.

Speaking in Iowa, the retired neurosurgeon told an audience of supporters, “Any responsible policy on Syria must begin with a fact-finding mission, and such a mission must begin with Googling.”

He said that “Google holds the key” to many questions about Syria. “Where is it? Who lives there? How many square miles is it? These are all things that have to be pinned down,” he said.

He's apparently obsessed with proving that Hamid Karzai is a heroin junkie. So, yeah, he's a pretty good match for Carson. Now they're calling him senile? Fine, that only makes him a better match.

So he took his Carson paycheck as a consultant, and has now demonstrated his enduring loyalty to the Family.

Notwithstanding that it's true!

And an implosion of Carson may benefit Trump but it ain't going to Jeb!'s benefit.

And that's Gentle Ben's core constituency.

TeeRUMP is not a believable Christian. He's got the Archie Bunker voters, not the "Geez, Edith, not dis religious crapola again!" voters.

“There are a lot of Christians in Syria that have no place now,” he explained. “They’ll be either executed or imprisoned, either by Assad or by ISIS. And I think we should have — we should focus our efforts as it relates to the Christians that are being slaughtered.”

Tapper wondered how screeners would know which refugees were Christians.

“We do that all the time,” Bush insisted. “I think we need to be — obviously — very, very cautious. This also calls to mind the need to protect our borders, our southern border particularly.”

34. Worse than Hermain Cain
Wed Nov 18, 2015, 10:49 PM
Nov 2015

We expected Cain to be a clown and he actually seemed to relish that role. But in many respects this Carson guy is worse than the "Becky-becky-stan-stan" guy. In both cases, they seem to celebrate complete ignorance about the world.

Not that any of the others on that stage are any better. But Carson tries to pass himself as some hyper-intelligent brain surgeon.

It really is astonishing how little any of these GOP candidates knows (or even wants to know) about the world. I remember the Ford-Carter debate where Ford seemed to say that Poland wasn't within the USSR's sphere of influence. Hell, at least Jerry Ford knew where Poland was, but this was considered on of the great blunders in the entire country's history of Presidential discourse. These GOP clowns today don't even try.

Of course, the votes they are going for are the dumbed-down anti-intellectual crowd, Reagan and his followers have bred generations of Americans to be little more than obedient consumers. This is the end result of that systematic dumbing-down.

It would be one thing if the candidates were just "acting dumb" to appeal to that base. But other than possibly Bush and Christie (a stretch in both cases) these are just garden variety dumbasses. Today's GOP politician knows you don't get nay sprinkles on your cupcake by studying world history hard.
