Oh please, please, please do it, GOP! Trump runs as an independent, we keep the White House, take back the Senate, maybe even take back the House! And everyone at Fox "News" has to be committed to an asylum to prevent them from harming themselves!
Not a short video, but well worth watching

It is a global analysis....and the path to follow is quite clear
Bernie Sanders 2016! or absolute civil war-like chaos and collapse with a strong possibility of fascist Germany.

We'll just have to support Bernie with all our might.
It's just too bad there are so many Americans ignorant of history and therefore doomed to repeat it.
It would take very little bring on a massive downturn in the economy. If oil returns to $140/barrel consumer spending might just drop way off triggering another recession.

(50,986 posts)The power elite group referenced in the video can meet all they want and bemoan their party's current candidate field generally and Trump's ugliness especially, but they're up Shit Creek if Trump arrives in Cleveland this summer with enough delegates for a first ballot victory.
Used to be the GOP "establishment" could control the process. That's clearly not the case anymore. Trump is tied with Cruz or in the lead in Iowa. He leads in New Hampshire. He leads big in South Carolina. Increasingly one or the other of these two is looking like the 2016 Republican nominee.
It's no wonder Mitch McConnell is at that gathering of GOP elites. His role as Majority Leader would be in question, since either Trump or Cruz would as nominee would likely augur poorly for many down-ballot Republicans. The Senate would likely go blue.
On a personal note, I'm delighted that the GOP is in such visible turmoil over its rabid right wing. They ordered it, they can eat it.

(12,633 posts)The current political climate in the frightwing party is one of finality and remorse. The old GOP is not capable to halt the march of madness they have started and will be the first to be trampled beneath the feet of all those poor lemmings whose ultimate fate will be to drown in the sea.
We have an imperative to save our planet and not to repeat the atrocities of the past.
