Obviously, the cat's not a Republican. If it were, it would've had to eat crow.

I have never seen this before - a cat and a bird who is friends.. But I guess everything IS possible, as this show clearly... If the cat is young enough, they will se the "older" one as a mother figure and trust it with its Life that be a bird or another who can provide and protect the younger one. I had a cat once, who lost her mother when she was just 4 weeks old.. She got very close to me, and sometimes acted like a dog in his trust to me.. And even waited for me when I got off the bus, and walked with me home and "talked" to me when we was going home.... And then it was food and some cuddling on the coach in the evening.. One evening when I made myself some steak and she was trembling my feet's, I made her a real feast of meat.. She eat it all - but was laying belly up the rest of the night and just saying "please give me a gentle stomage massage".... (or at least it looks like that) And she was not doing this "dance around the feet" for a long time after that experience

I miss her - as I do with all my cats - they was good friends, maybe better than most humans I have ever known... All of them had their own personality, some was stubborn, some was outright nauty, some was just gentle and kind...

Animals can be friends, even when their natural instincts might tell them, they are enemies, or at least in this case, a predator, and the victims of a predator.. But it is always good to se that different animals can be friends - and even protect the other... It was nice to se how protective the crow was about the cat - and how gentle the cat was with the crow. The cat could have eaten the crow in a heart beat - but choose not to.. So I guess the cat get feed properly Or that the cat was small when they got knowing each other.. At that age kitten bond easy, and will be close to the one they choose to bond to.. The one I told about, who walked with me home from the bus every day, was one cat who bonded with me early on. And I have to say I still miss her - in a way I guess just one who have missed a really god "friend" in a animal can understand fully. She kind of was shoosing me as her protector from the first time I got to know her - and from that day the bond got deeper and deeper.. But then again, I allways was gentle and kind to her so she understood early one, that I was there for her..

Yes, even though I don't have any of them longer - I do have the memories of them - so I guess as long as they are "there" they still are here too?... But I do have to say, I miss have someone in the house, who just are there.. and who could welcome me, when I need a welcome... And a pur when I need one

I agree, it is a place where you can find a friend to love - and who would love you, for what you are, I might do that one of this days
