It's been a sad 24 hours for all of us, and it's nearly 2 AM here, so I'm gonna turn in. But before I do, I just want to leave you with something funny from this great artist. Good night.

1. Not only was David Bowie a great entertainer & producer

he was also a great business man. I remember when he issued the Bowie Bonds back in the 90's. He struck a licensing deal with EMI for his back catalogue giving the group the rights to release 25 Bowie albums from between 1969 and 1990. Those rights were then securitised, turned into $55m of Bowie Bonds, offering a 7.9 per cent annual coupon. He made a bunch of money off his old songs just before the internet and sites like Napster decimated the music industry.
