(9,897 posts)That kind of behavior - with or without a firearm - is criminal.
Making it easy for people to get away with that kind of assault is enabling them to break the law...brandishing a gun and verbally threatening people is assault with a deadly weapon and should end up with him permanently losing his Second Amendment privileges, yet all NRA gun humpers *will excuse* (sorry, too broad a stroke....should have said "seem willing to excuse" this kind of reckless behavior.
Another case where if I were the DA, with video evidence, eye-witnesses, a license plate and easily identified criminal there would be a very high profile prosecution right now. I'd hit that punk with assault with a deadly weapon (one count for every person in the restaurant and parking lot), reckless endangerment (when Captain Moran dropped that gun, it could have discharged and hit someone), and domestic terrorism for good measure.

(21,787 posts)Hell, the McDonald employee could have pulled his gun, the driver in the passing truck could have pulled his gun, the person filming could have pulled a gun, the buddy of the gun wielder could have pulled his gun, maybe a random customer in the McDonald's could have pulled out a gun.
I am sure all of that fire power would have neutralized the threat in short order. Or maybe a bloody massacre would have ensued. Whatever, the situation (presumably, artificial ingredients in his cheese sticks) would have been resolved.
Obviously, more guns in more hands are the answer.
