(3,343 posts)Loyalty is for family friends and gangs... If someone better for America had run then good.
This whole notion that people should be loyal to politicians or parties against their own self-interest is suicidal.

(3,343 posts)If you're the best politician in a democracy a run a good campaign you have a very good chance of being reelected.
Obama is a mixed bag for many many people and Bernie is more progressive... I'm not surprised thst progressives would want someone more progressive than Obama..
Trying to play the race card to scare POC away from Bernie is pretty low. Even for Clinton supporters.

(127 posts)When the right would tout Obama's low approval ratings as if he was too liberal, it was that many of us disapproved because Obama abandoned the voters who got him there and was not liberal enough.

(46,585 posts)This coming from a Democrat ... CUTS TO F#CKING SOCIAL SECURITY! Bernie suggested that a primary challenge may move Obama back to the left where he could keep the promise he made during the primary to protect Social Security. It takes a real tool and slave to the establishment to be fine with putting our social safety net on the table to be bargained away. We'd also be in danger of same if Hillary ever made it to the White House. They say one thing while campaigning and then govern like a moderate Republican. No thanks.

(27,778 posts)Tired of people insisting Sanders didn't say this. And "I think one of the reasons that Obama has moved as far to the right as he has is he thinks he can go all the way" -- what the hell does that mean? Obama's a secret Republican? I don't know if I can trust anyone with such poor judgement that he considers Obama a right-winger. How ridiculous.
