Just because Manning didn't decapitate anyone doesn't mean that he's not a loathsome person.

Having said that professional football like professional sports is not my strong suit. I had to look up who Peyton and Archie were just so I could understand the significance. And no I don't know who played in the last super bowl.
For me the issue is the glorification of the entertainment industry, material culture and sports, etc. and how it is so choreographed.

(12,225 posts)if Manning wasn't a kazillionaire from football I have to wonder if this would exist.... female trainers in a male football locker room setting might think they could come across the occasional 'equipment malfunction' don't you think??

(36,927 posts)There is no way Manning has any credibility on this.
The trainer reported it as a sexual assault right after it happened when Manning was still in college. The witness Manning cited refused to back up his story and wrote a letter to him saying he needed to tell the truth. The university settled with the trainer for $300K. Manning signed a confidentiality agreement which he twice violated. The only reason this is still in the news cycle is because Manning can't seem to shut the fuck up about it.
