(11,085 posts)Can't quite put my finger on what he protected us from, but now all America is safe from it. And now he promises to protect us from Muslims and Mexicans who can't climb walls or dig tunnels.
Is it women? Is it women he's protecting us from? Maybe just Jeb Bush.

(1,178 posts)This country just abandoned them. Yes, the war was stupid, but it wasn't their fault that our government got us into it. My friend will sometimes tell stories- he was shot, injured by a bomb that killed the guys in front of him and buried alive while injured so his team could complete the mission and then come back to get him. I can't begin to imagine what it was like hoping that the team survived to dig him up. We learned no lessons and then tossed the Iraq vets on the same garbage heap. Support the military my a$$. The only thing we support are the military contractors.

(5,810 posts)Classmate, class of 66. Died in Vietnam Nam before he was 20. I found his name on The Wall and it still hurt after 30 years
Husband's cousin went there at 20, s happy go lucky fella without a care in the world. He came home broken and almost destroyed. Lived like a hermit, alcoholic, druggie until about 5 years ago he finally got some of his life back.
Donald Trump makes a mockery of all the deaths and ruined lives from that era. Why anyone who lived through that, lost a friend or loved one (by death or screwed up life) can support this vile waste of flesh is beyond me. I just don't understand it and never will.
