Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), who resigned her position as vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee to endorse the Vermont senator, tells CBS News that while people warned her not to defy the Clintons, she doesn't fear potential retaliation. Gabbard also discussed the state of the primary fight and stressed that Sanders still has a path to the Democratic nomination despite trailing Hillary Clinton in delegates. Gabbard joined CBS News' Demarco Morgan to discuss the 2016 Democratic race.

(114,411 posts)Fear the Clintons? I've never viewed them as particularly powerful in any way. They sure couldn't keep GOP in line.

(15,652 posts)complex. I doubt that Hillary even knows who she is.
If Tulsi had half a brain, she would realize that she is doing herself no favors with her constituents by creating imaginary enemies. But it does keep her in the headlines, which is likely the whole purpose of such.

(2,169 posts)Dingbat dis-invited Tulsi to the first Democratic Debate
Tulsi seems to know who Tulsi is
Finally- a Democrat that knows "regime changes" (coup d'etats) are illegal and unconstitutional and isn't afraid to talk about them

(15,652 posts)illegal and unconstitutional, why did she request to be assigned with the military to Iraq in 2004?

(57,936 posts)And yes, the Clintons have a machine. They are the masters of machine politics.
They are at the center of the in-crowd that Larry Summers warned Elizabeth Warren about.

(24,010 posts)Rep. Gabbard doesn't say it, but I will. Clinton's "experience" is in LACKING GOOD JUDGEMENT, repeatedly, on Iraq, on Libya, on Syria, on Honduras--and spending her time as Secretary of State bulking up the Clinton Foundation with billions of dollars in donations from foreign governments, such as Saudi Arabia, that she was doling out weapons contracts to, in her role as Sec of State. THAT is why she had a secret, private, insecure server, outside the government system, in her home in New York!
Her "experience" is in corruption, and getting masses of innocent people killed with "regime change."
Contrast this with Sanders, who knew and stated, when he voted against the war on Iraq, WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES WOULD BE--destabilization of the region!
Contrast this with his strict financial ETHICS, in his own life, in his career and in his campaign now. No corporate money. No war profiteer money. No health care profiteer money. No Wall Street money. No bankster money. Funded entirely by ordinary people giving small donations.
It is just amazing what he is doing and has done. And Tulsi Gabbard is amazing, too, for her early perception of what this unprecedented presidential candidate was doing and what he, and all of us, could accomplish.
