(24,010 posts)Really, really dirty ass questions, full of WRONG information that anybody would be baffled to answer. On the Fed. On drones. So Sanders judiciously says, "I don't know," as he's trying to figure out what the hell they're asking and what is the pointing of asking him about something that is factually wrong?
Then the rest of the Corrupt Media piled on the "I don't know."
We can hate them for it, and, boy, do they deserve it! But one of Sanders' strengths in every interview I've seen of his is his brilliance at turning "gotcha" questions back round to his message. I haven't read the full interview yet, but it sounds like he wasn't as sharp as usual. And they really knifed him on Sandy Hook. I've never seen him let alleged reporters get away with shit like that before.
TYT says he actually gave good answers on every issue. But they contorted their questions to elicit an "I don't know," then quoted that entirely out of context. There is probably nothing he could have done about this.
It doesn't much matter to me or anyone else. I don't give a damn what the Corrupt Media does or thinks. And I'm pretty sure that most Americans are fucking sick of them. All it means to me is that Sanders was a bit tired--God knows that is forgivable given his insane schedule--and probably should have taken a break instead of meeting with those bastards.
Well, it does mean one thing more: The transglobal billionaire class is shit scared of Sanders. Internals must be showing he might win New York. (He just surged 16 pts in PA!). They wouldn't be gunning for him like this if his numbers weren't on the rise and hers in decline.
It's as if the establishment think it's about Bernie and not what he would like to accomplish. Then again, maybe they DO understand it is about what he is trying to accomplish.

(58,724 posts)Most of the questions were quite reasonable as Bernie himself pointed out numerous times throughout the discussion.
It was a very reasonable discussion with good questions and smart answers.
I for one prefer a candidate who is willing to say I don't know rather than spout BS like Trump does.

(274 posts)...the Fed is rightly classified as an independent central bank. Neither the executive branch nor the legislature gets a direct say in its decision-making, and it pays for its own operations (primarily by acquiring U.S. government securities on the open market). In short, the Fed is an independent entity within the government.
The President can't tell the "FED" what to do... The Treasury yes, but not the "FED". The "FED" is a quasi Private / Government institution adopted in 1913. We can't tell them to break up the banks, but through legislation such as Dodd/Frank we have authority to address banking issues. Just as Bernie was among a few politicians who worked feverishly to get a legislation passed... just to audit the "FED", because of their privacy rights.

(1,779 posts)Hillary/Bernie debate is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
It sure is clear that Bernie is right--Hillary is getting very desperate.
I wonder if Hillary is doing this so she can cancel the debate that is now scheduled with Bernie?
Go Bernie!!!

(58,724 posts)I thought Bernie came out really strong. He got to expound on his positions and provided insightful answers to numerous policy questions. Much better than the usual ten second sound bites you get on the news shows.
I would encourage folks to read the full transcript. I believe it shows Bernie at his best.
