Claiming that the US had become so successful that we could do that.

This WTO agenda was/is called "progressive liberalisation" (progressive in this context means "irreversible" - liberalisation means disinvestment, privatization, deregulation, no matter what the cost)

But it was based on lies and was/is a lie.

And if it wasn't a lie it was a betrayal of the whole country's workers. Pick one.

From what I have heard it called.

He gave Republicans what they wanted.

Helped them beat up on the poor.

Their favorite thing to do.

the clintons will just add to the blockage keeping our country from any positive, progressive change. the 99% of us cannot afford them.

Just a little history.....

Bill Clinton's welfare reform that ended welfare for millions of poor Americans (single mother'sand their children), was copied from Wisconsin's Gov Tommy Thompson (R). A four term governor who exited the 2008 Presidential race with barely 1% support in Iowa. With Tommy Thompson's reform, many poor left the State of WI, moving to Minnesota and Illinois.

We still have far too many homeless people. Welfare reform should help people get housing and make sure they have enough to eat, not punish them and refuse them the small share of our great national wealth that they need.

Bill Clinton should not have signed that welfare reform bill.

I could make that Bill Clinton video clip seem more realistic. If I just knew how to sync HIS WORDS to video of John Boehner or Mitch Turtle or one of those GOP bright stars, the clip would be more convincing. Hell, if it were legal, I could see the GOP recruiting Bill to run for them this time around! Of course, Bernie would TROUNCE that phony in a New York minute!
