I had the added issue of some really bad audio via C Span last night and could barely make out what he was saying, but it was easy to tell, that it wasn't going over very well.

you could tell he was extremely nervous. His presentation showed it big time. I was not impressed, but certainly understand by performing in front of the best president this country has seen in a long long time.

I like him a lot too,INFINITELY better than, sadly, the person who replaced Jon Stewart.

But, he was brutally bad in this.

He looked terrified while the President was killing it. Anyone would. The President was terrific and impossible to follow. Larry was right, but not funny.

but his performance fell flat. I've seen this in previous years at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, it is a really rough crowd. I think his routine would work well as stand-up comedy, but not in front of the President. I really wish they would quit with the whole "roast" angle. There are plenty of venues for that kind of humor that are more appropriate than the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

The Bill Clinton joke - grace, class and poise are his favorite strippers.

BLM is in the crowd - just kidding everyone.

Cspan is the number one network for people who died watching tv and noone has found them yet.

Andrew Jackson from the grave responding to Ben Carson's praise of him as a President. "What did that jiggaboo say?"

The Morning Joe crew is so far up Trump's ass, they ran into Chris Christie.

Everyone in that room should squirm at his jokes. I squirmed, but I still give Wilmore a C+.

...transparency, this is the opinion of a just-turned-65 white woman.

I think it was in egregiously poor taste to use the term nigger/niggah when speaking to or about President Obama.

Absolutely NOT FUNNY !
Had I been the President and First Lady I'd have risen and walked out at the first "N word".

At a minimum, not stood up and shake Wilmore's hand after the racist routine.

15. Larry Wilmore's routine - How bad was it?
Mon May 2, 2016, 06:49 PM

It was so bad, the audience only clapped with one hand: Dems left, Repubs right.

It was so bad, the audience hoped he would leave early so that Carly Fiorina would have time for a few songs.

It was so bad, he might qualify as a VP choice for Donald Trump.

It was so bad, the audience was hoping Romney would appear with a hook and finish the comedy routine for him.

It was so bad, (you can take it from here . . . )

What a lame routine, badly rehearsed, poorly delivered, and very dark humor. Not a moment of self-deprecation to lighten it. The multiple references to Guantanamo, drones, bombs, and other associations of torture and death are not sources for levity. Sorry, Larry - you didn't display the talent that you did on The Daily Show. It was Amateur Hour.

It was so bad, they are considering asking you to host the Oscars . . .

But there was no satire there.

This was 1 person getting 1 chance to tell those in power some hard truths. The humor was a thin veil.

Calling out Obama on Guantanamo, and the bomb and drone strikes? That required large amounts of courage.
I'd be nervous too in that situation.

I was laughing with him and at them. He hit Obama too so no one can say he was soft one way and hard with others . Hey some are gonna react like the people finding the cocoa butter and ask what is this so it was not for everyone's taste.
I never watch his late show though not into to those kind of shows
