They pay wages in many cases that drive their workers to the welfare office for food or housing. And they hide their profits in off-shore accounts to avoid taxes. Thus, they have plenty to splurge with for their fave CEOs and ex-CEOs--the ones who pay the lowest wages and then fire everybody and move to Mexico, where they can pay even less and not have to bother with environmental or food safety or other pesky regulations.
