(14,255 posts)And watch who votes for the TPP and the TTIP.
None of them are real Democrats. Or else "Democrat" now means something else entirely.

(1,717 posts)No way do Canadians or Europeans, among others, put up
with the outright thievery aimed at average people that goes on here.
Financial predators, crap health care, zero job protections, the
list goes on.
In fact, it is so pervasive that is really has to be an organized
effort to destroy the US middle and working classes.
And hardly a whimper of protest.
Home of the Brave - NOT!!

(889 posts)The TTIP, like NAFTA and like TPP, is a really big deal.
But the major media outlets will not report on it. Some blogger or talk show host might do an in-depth story, but that's about it.
The American press is simply abandoning their vital role to inform here. The best the average American will hear is this: "Congress voted on a trade deal yesterday. And in other news, Miley Cyrus just put a dent in her new sports car. More details about the dent after the break."

(10,597 posts)... (after the Saudi snub... did we learn ANYTHING that came out of that?), the media said the crowd was numbered at 35,000. I thought great! But wait... Lori said here that the crowd numbered 70,000! A thousand here, and a thousand there, and pretty soon you have pertnear have a million.
Those people are alive over there. They haven't been lulled to sleep by repetitive propaganda, reality shows, non-stop sports, on and on and on. I just can't see how Germany is going to go along with the TTIP. Unless Merkel has already signed it. I remember hearing that when PO puts his John Henry to it, it's done, period.
