There was a column written in Chicago when I was young, when Reagan was starting this whole nonsense movement. The columnist had noticed, every day, a license plate on an expensive car which read, essentially, GOTMINHELLWU. She had stewed over it, wondering how to express politely what she found so galling about it. Then, one day, she saw another expensive car with a license plate which read, essentially, IWISHU12.

5. So many people don't realize how much pure luck is involved in getting rich.

If you were born into some amount of wealth your odds of being wealthy are higher. The odds of you being rich but being born into a poor family are astronomical. Poor folks just do not get the opportunity to succeed like the rich get.

In a capitalist country wealth is more dependent on good luck, then skill, hard work and talent.

Thanks, Donkees. Only thing is, these guys must only comprise a tiny percentage of the millionaire class. (Not billionaires... I'm sure that bunch is just fine with keeping it all.) Personally, I have never envied the rich. Seriously, I only want the basics. The "American Dream" is what we used to call it. I hope our friends in the video remember that until they are taxed properly and fairly, that they can substitute donating to those who need a helping hand. Like God's Pantry, Feeding America. etc, etc, etc. (Which is exactly what they do already, I bet.)

Money can decide when you die, but not whether you die. Why not make life as good as possible for yourself AND EVERYONE AROUND YOU while you live?

And it isn't just about money but about sharing know-how, understanding, joy, love, space, energy and that proverbial helping hand. Paying your fair share of taxes when you have the money to pay them is just part of living fully.
