Mike Malloy - Newt Gingrich Begs Donald Trump For VP Nomination
Newt Gingrich and Donald Trump have a lot in common. They’ve both had three wives, they both have a history of attacking the Clintons and they both seem to long for a political career that seems hopeless.
Perhaps, that’s why there is so much speculation surrounding the former House Speaker for the Trump VP shortlist. Gingrich has all but launched his own draft Newt efforts and proved he has been a Trump loyalist from the beginning.
“If a potential president says I need you, it would be very hard for a patriotic citizen to say no,” Gingrich told the New York Times. “People can criticize a nominee, but ultimately there are very few examples of people turning down the vice presidency.”
