(11,012 posts)'Cause this was a hit piece if ever I've seen one. And it it wasn't even mildly funny (except for the TDS logo over his face).
Trevor Noah isn't even in the same building as Jon Stewart when it comes to talent, let alone on the same floor.
Im not sure I can even read what the point of the skit was. The f35 is certainly a real issue. The point, I guess, is that Bernie is a politician. Those jobs and the money going into his state's economy would be a concern for any politician who is looking out for his base constituency. I think it was commentary on our political climate.
But true. He is no Jon Stewart. Stewart took shots at policy much more than he did people.
And regardless of any of this, I still think Bernie is the best shot we have in this country moving forward.

He has none of the moral conviction of Jon Stewart and he isn't funny. Samantha Bee should have been Stewart's replacement; Noah was a mistake.
Oh, did I mention he's also a liar? "I'm not against Bernie Sanders," he says (6:36)--while delivering an ugly hit-piece filled with policy distortions and attacks on Sanders' physical appearance and age. The only thing he didn't call him was a filthy Jew, and by the end of the piece, I was half-expecting that.
