I've never listened to Jon just talk off the cuff about things and I'm
even more impressed with how bright, quick and insightful he is.
I really could listen to him for hours....and like Axelrod's queries
about whether Jon would be lending his voice
to commentary on this current campaign, I too miss John's insights and wish he
would participate in some way. I understand that he is enjoying being outside
the confines of the media bubble, directly engaging, hands on, with life
in general, so I'm being totally selfish in that regard. He gave us a lot of
amazing years already and helped to spawn some amazing talent. But as
Axlerod said, there is only one Jon Stewart.

“I imagine her to be a very bright woman without the courage of her convictions, because I don’t know even know what they are … She reminds me of Magic Johnson’s talk show. Magic Johnson was a charming individual, but he wasn’t a talk show host. If you watched his show, you could almost see Arsenio’s advice to him, in real-time rendering … but it never seemed real or authentic. It seemed like she was wearing an outfit designed for someone else to be someone else.

“That’s not say that she’s not preferable to Donald Trump, because at this point, I would vote for Mr. T. over Donald Trump.”
